FAQs
Sarah’s Pet Care does not provide overnight stays in your home. This allows us to maximize our care for pet boarding in our home during the night.
We provide an intake form for your pet that must be filled out before we provide pet care. This gives us insight to temperament, your preferences, schedule, medical history and more. The purpose of this form is to help us provide the best care possible and ensure safety for Sarah and other pets that may be around yours.
It’s up to you! Certain behaviors listed in the pet intake form will require a meet and greet for Sarah to evaluate your pet’s temperament to ensure the safety of other pets.
We do NOT take aggressive dogs with a bite history. Signs of aggression that could put Sarah or other pets in danger will be turned away from boarding at Sarah’s Pet Care. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Yes! Pets must be UTD on their shots. Pets that are not UTD will be turned away from boarding at Sarah’s Pet Care. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Yes. The outdoor fenced area for doggies is attached to our new pet facility. Dogs are allowed playtime with other dogs that are pre-grouped by size AND temperament.
Yes. Your pet will more than likely encounter other pets boarding at Sarah’s Pet Care. For owners of pets that wish to keep their pets separate due to anxiety or other reasons, it should be made known during the booking phase so we can maximize comfort for your pet. Most of the time we can accommodate a special room just for your pet or with pets of similar temperaments, especially smaller breeds.
Owners that bring treats for their pets help out a lot! We use treats provided by owners to give their pets when tedious tasks are needed to be accomplished where the pet disagrees. Tasks like walking on leash or photo-time where the pet is more stimulated by the environment may be given a treat to help hold attention. Sometimes dogs learn sit and also walk better on leash while staying at Sarah’s Pet Care because of the attention and treats provided.
Absolutely! Facility visitations are by appointment only unless you are currently boarding with us. If you do not have an appointment, you will be asked to leave for the security of our home and the pets staying with us. So, be sure to call ahead to schedule a facility visit!
